Clark Logistic Services Joins EFill America
St. Louis firm now part of national network for transportation, warehousing and industrial space leasing efforts
ST. LOUIS, May 11, 2005 – Clark Logistic Services, a St. Louis-based third party logistics provider, has joined EFill America, a national provider of supply chain solutions for the warehousing and transportation industry.
Michael J. Cook, vice president of warehouse and logistic services for CLS, made the announcement along with Michael H. Clark, principal owner of CLS. Clark also owns Clark Properties, a full-service real estate development and property management company headquartered in St. Louis.
The CLS commitment to EFill America means St. Louis is now one of 100 American cities offering warehouse-based solutions to retailers, manufacturers and distributors worldwide. Combined, EFill America operates 50 million square feet in 150 facilities across the country. EFill America is expected to expand in Canada, Mexico and China.
“The EFill America network provides us greater customer service capacity on a national level and brings us more business,” Cook said. “This partnership is a good fit with our St. Louis operation and our access to Clark Properties-managed warehouses and business parks.”
Clark Properties owns or operates several warehouse and distribution centers in the St. Louis metro area, including Alton Center Business Park, Union Seventy Center Business Park, Pagedale Business Center and Riverview Industrial Center.
Clark noted that several Clark Properties tenants have national needs. “By aligning ourselves with CLS and EFill America, this will allow us to grow our tenant business across the country while guaranteeing them quality space and service levels that we have found within the EFill America network,” he said.
Since October 2004, CLS has filled two Clark Properties’ warehouses with tenants and is seeking additional space for yet another tenant. “The success we are experiencing with CLS convinced us we needed to expand our lease and logistics capabilities beyond St. Louis,” Cook said. “Our partnership with EFill America will allow us to achieve these goals.”
