ST. LOUIS -- USF Logistics Corp. – one of North America’s leading third-party logistics (3PL) providers – has increased its presence at Union Seventy Center Business Park in north St. Louis to 219,000 square feet. USF is taking the new space, in part, to make room for coffees manufactured by Sara Lee Corp. The brands include Chock Full O' Nuts, Hills Brothers, MJB and Chase & Sanborn. They were previously distributed throughout the Midwest from Indianapolis, Ind. Terms of the 97,000-square-foot lease expansion were not disclosed. USF initiated operations at Union Seventy Center in spring 2002 with a 122,000 square foot commitment. Clark Properties is the developer of the 173-acre business park – the largest in the city of St. Louis – that is located at the intersection of Union Blvd. and Interstate 70. USF will use the remaining space to distribute goods from other consumer product companies. “The location is excellent and we’ve found distribution space at Union Seventy Center to be highly functional and exceptionally cost-effective,” said Steve Morrison, USF director of operations. “We’ve also established a good working relationship with Clark Properties.” “We appreciate the challenges and opportunities a rapidly changing business environment presents to our tenants day to day,” said Michael Clark, president of Clark Properties. “We pride ourselves on doing everything within our power to help them capitalize on those opportunities.
