Ohio-Based Corporate Support Inc. Enters St. Louis with 160,000 SF Lease at Union Seventy Center Business Park
Company Sees Potential to Grow Revenues 75 Percent
ST. LOUIS – Corporate Support Inc. is opening up shop in St. Louis with the lease of 160,000 square feet at Union Seventy Center Business Park. Corporate Support is Procter & Gamble’s (P&G) largest provider of value-added repackaging services for fabric and homecare products. The Lima, Ohio-based concern leased the space from Clark Properties, the developer of the 173-acre business park – the largest in the city of St. Louis. Terms were not disclosed.
“We are pleased to be introducing our value-added warehousing services to the St. Louis market,” said Troy Breidenbach, president of Corporate Support. “Union Seventy Center is ideally situated to give us a foothold in the market. Our long-term goal is to develop relationships with other consumer products companies active in the region.” The firm plans to ultimately repackage up to seven million cases of product annually at Union Seventy Center, which is located at Union Boulevard and I-70 in North St. Louis. Breidenbach believes that the new St. Louis operation has the potential to exceed the output of its facility in Ohio. At its 300,000-square-foot center in Lima, the company currently repackages 13 million cases of consumer goods for P&G annually. The firm also provides warehouse support services to Ford Motor Co. as a tier one supplier. Corporate Support has served P&G since 1975, the year in which the privately held firm was founded. It employs more than 300 people in Ohio. “The location and affordability of Union Seventy Center make it an ideal regional hub site,” Breidenbach noted. “We believe the St. Louis operation can boost our revenues by 75 percent over the next two years.” Corporate Support’s value-added services typically require it to shrink-wrap merchandise prior to distribution. It often pairs a related product with one being promoted as a sale item. Breidenbach said the company will invest $500,000 in start-up supplies and equipment at Union Seventy Center, where it will initially employ 70 people. “We are delighted that Corporate Support chose Union Seventy Center, where we continue to make infrastructure improvements to ensure that it remains a premier destination for firms seeking a high quality, yet economical, environment in which to grow their business,” said Michael Clark, president of Clark Properties. Union Seventy Center currently hosts 27 companies who employ approximately 1,750 people.
Clark Properties is the leading redeveloper of Brownfields industrial property in metro St. Louis and among the largest redevelopers in the Midwest. Since 1985, it has acquired, renovated and sold or leased more than 4.7 million square feet of office, warehouse/distribution and light manufacturing space in Missouri and Illinois. END
